Wastewater treatment technician
Reporting to the Wastewater Manager, one day shift and one evening shift to be filled.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor control systems ;
- Read flow meters, level gauges and other recording devices to measure water flow, consumption levels and bacterial concentration;
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect faults and ensure normal system operation;
- Complete reports and maintain an activity log ;
- Take water samples and perform chemical assays and bacterial counts;
- Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical oxygen demand, suspended solids and phosphate content, analyze test results and instrument readings, and make any necessary adjustments to equipment;
- Measure, mix and transport chemicals to maintain mixture concentrations, if necessary, and place orders for chemicals required for wastewater treatment;
- Perform minor preventive maintenance or assist skilled tradespeople in installing or repairing plant equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Training or experience in bio-methanization an asset;
- Knowledge of Office suite software ;
- Adaptability and resourcefulness;
- Sense of responsibility and autonomy
