Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on tooling
- Carry out urgent repairs and tooling modifications in-house, or occasionally externally (subcontractors)
- Monitor periodic inspections of molds and record work performed
- Provide support to production technicians (plasturgists) and mould expertise
- Identify quality problems with molds and parts and make recommendations to correct the situation
- Maintain order, tidiness and cleanliness in the work environment (5S)
- Participate in Kaizen (improvements)
- Conventional machining (milling machine, lathe, grinding machine) and CNC (milling machine - MasterCAM programming)
- Carry out any other tasks requested by the immediate superior
Qualifications
- Knowledge of plastic injection molds (Asset)
- Minimum 5 years in a similar position
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French. English an asset.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, electricity, hydraulics and mechanics
- Knowledge of welding is an asset.
- Basic computer skills (Excel min.)
- Forklift operator's license (training available on site)
- Overhead crane operator's license (training available on site)
- Master measurement tools (vernier, micrometer, ''go no go'')
Training
- Vocational diploma in machining technology, CNC an asset
