Network computer technician

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, your primary duties will be to analyze and develop various internal and external network configurations. As part of your duties, you will work closely with members of the IT, Engineering, Customer Service and Programming teams. You will work on advanced industrial systems for the engineering/R&D, programming and automation departments.

You will participate in the development, integration and implementation of products. You will be responsible for the integrity and proper functioning of the IT systems dedicated to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the design and architecture of the network infrastructure;
  • Expand the choice of solutions for innovation in our systems;
  • Ensure the proper functioning, availability and reliability of networked systems (LAN/WAN technologies, firewall, VPN, wireless, load balancer, etc.)
  • Participate in the diagnosis and resolution of any network problem (LAN/WAN);
  • Contribute to the technological choices of network and security equipment;
  • Participate in various projects with a network component;
  • Participate in the review of project plans for deployments;
  • Ensure the technical evolution and deployment of network components by ensuring the stability of the environment during changes;
  • Write reports, manuals and other documents required in his/her field of expertise;
  • Research new components to meet customer needs;
  • Analyze and understand the functioning of components;
  • Provide technical support to service and installation departments;
  • Bring its technological vision;
  • Performs all other duties required by the nature of the position.

Qualifications

  • Be available to travel for short periods of time, mostly 1 to 7 days, and if necessary, be able to obtain a valid passport.

Training

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science.
