Participates in the installation, programming and maintenance of electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic devices and controls used in industry for process automation or energy distribution;

Assembles, repairs and maintains electronic or automated circuits, devices and systems.

• Designs, develops and tests control equipment and systems;
• Installs, troubleshoots and maintains electrical, electronic and robotic equipment and systems;
• Analyzes the performance of electronic and electrical components, assemblies and systems;
• Consults manufacturers' manuals, circuit diagrams and charts to apply test and maintenance procedures to measuring instruments. Controls flow, level, pressure, temperature and other variables in manufacturing and processing;
• Repairs and adjusts system components such as detectors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or removes and replaces faulty parts;
• Installs control and measurement instruments on new or existing equipment, and integrates them into processes;
• Makes drawings, electrical diagrams, determines component selection and wiring of electrical panels;
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on various electrical and electronic circuits;
• Carries out programming when required on PLCs and drives;
• Acts as journeyman for electrical engineering technicians. In this capacity, he supervises new employees when they are hired and/or during the internal training program;
• Orders components;

• 5 to 8 years' experience in a similar position;
