Automation specialist
The incumbent is responsible for the selection, configuration and parameterization of the various technological components used in our projects. In addition, he/she is responsible for ensuring that the integration of the various technologies is done with priority given to security and compliance with the various market standards. Finally, the incumbent will be called upon to contribute to the support of existing equipment and to the continuous improvement of existing technologies and processes.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the selection and integration of equipment such as variable speed drives, digital vision cameras, operator interfaces, industrial computers, network switches etc.
- Configure and use intelligent vision sensors for all equipment requiring them.
- Actively participate in technology transfers from the research and development department.
- Participate in the development of computer vision algorithms for the various projects sold.
- Solve problems related to its projects by proposing innovative solutions.
- Actively participate in factory quality testing (FQT).
- Participate in the installation and start-up of systems sold to customers (Site Quality Test - SQT) by adjusting and modifying equipment to optimize their operation in real-life situations.
- Participate in the standardization of existing technologies and equipment.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers with deployed technologies.
- Work in close collaboration with the various stakeholders working on the projects (project managers, PLC programming, electrical engineering, etc.).
Constraints related to the position
- Be able to travel (Canada, United States, international) (+/- 1 time per month).
- Possess a valid passport and driver's license.
- Variable schedule and on frequent time.

- Good knowledge of industrial programming environments (C++ (Visual Studio), Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc).

Training
- Degree in one of the following fields: Automated Production, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant education with experience.
- 4-7 years experience in programming automated equipment in the industry.
