Responsibilities

  • This role requires expertise in project management, stakeholder management, change management and transformation. Expertise in complex multi-vendor integration or projects involving multiple team members is mandatory.
  • You will be responsible for guiding a large multi-vendor automation project.
  • You will be responsible for planning the design, delivery and stabilization of the project with input from the business, IT and suppliers. This includes:
  • Setting the pace of design workshops
  • Identify key stakeholders who approve the design
  • Identification of the various working committees needed to support the project
  • Setting up and chairing a technical steering committee
  • Establishing a cadence for the review of key design decisions
  • Establish and align suppliers on common scope and delivery milestones
  • Align quality with the scope of ST, SIT, PT, RT, UAT, etc.
  • Responsible for establishing project technical software KPIs for delivery and presenting progress, issues and risks to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for IT delivery strategy and business engagement.
  • Responsible for managing change requests related to software scope, budget and resources.
  • Regular coordination and accountability to ensure that all partners are technically aligned with the software.
  • Arbitrate conflicts between partners or other software-related issues.
  • The central point of contact between the customer and partners for IT technical elements related to warehouse automation within the scope of the project.

Qualifications

  • 10 years' experience in total, including 5 years' experience in complex software development projects,
    multi-vendor/partner/team projects with a deep technical component.
  • Ability to understand and assimilate the details of the IT solution and how they
    translate into a delivery schedule and the associated risks.
  • Good knowledge of communications between different industrial equipment such as PLCs, robots,
    sensors, MES, SCADA, etc.
  • Strong experience of Agile project delivery methodologies, databases and the ORM (Object-
    Relational Mapping) framework.
  • Experience in deploying ERP/MRP/WMS systems
  • Mastery of SQL queries and API development.
  • Knowledge of certain software (not all) such as: Java, C++/object-oriented programs, Python,
    web application development, security and open source technologies.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, general Web functions and standards.
  • Familiarity with software integration models and systems integration practices.
  • Knowledge of supply chain warehouse operations would be an asset.
  • Leadership skills, strong listening skills, problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, Mandarin is an asset.
