Maintenance Manager
For the sheet products division, the candidate supervises and supports the maintenance team under his/her responsibility. He/she ensures the proper functioning of the different manufacturing units according to the efficiency of his/her team. He/she guides the various improvement projects of his/her department and equipment, acting as a technical reference for the internal and external collaborators with whom he/she must deal. He/she is responsible for the overall results of his/her area (quality, safety, productivity, production costs) and must be a reference for his/her collaborators.

Responsibilities
- Directly manage employees under his/her responsibility, including hiring, firing, performance monitoring, coaching and training ;
- Define, update and monitor KPI's for health, safety, environment, quality, raw material consumption, equipment performance and maintenance, and production volumes;
- Support the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the CMMS system;
- Support, supervise and direct the various maintenance activities of the different manufacturing units;
- Support, supervise and direct the various parts and equipment purchasing activities;
- Act as a technical reference when updating, modifying or improving parts, equipment or major projects;
- Define and manage the budget associated with equipment, buildings and various ongoing projects;
- Analyze gaps and opportunities for improvement in order to define and present action or improvement plans to the production managers and/or the plant manager;
- Support, supervise and plan the implementation of minor or major industrial projects with the help of the project team;
- Participate in investment plans and justify your requests;
- Promote the demand for continuous improvement within your teams;
- Any other related duties.
This position requires a flexible schedule to ensure support and follow-up of all work teams in the department.
Qualifications
- More than 10 years of experience in the industry;
- 3 to 5 years experience in managing a maintenance team;
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing (an asset) ;
- Computer tools (Office pack, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CMMS (IT Guide) an asset;
- Profile that likes to move around the plant;
- Good analytical skills and strong problem solving abilities;
- Commitment and openness to change;
- Good listening skills and team spirit;
- Proactive.
Training
- Mechanical, chemical, automated systems engineering background or equivalent;
- Diploma in a field related to industrial maintenance.
