Automation Programmer / Servo Programmer

Capmatic, a recognized leader in the manufacture and export of high-tech packaging equipment, is looking for a passionate and skilled Automation Programmer. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software for our automated systems. Your expertise will contribute directly to the efficiency and reliability of our equipment, ensuring the satisfaction and loyalty of our international clientele. In addition, you will be involved in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems on our machines at customer sites. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.

• After 3 (three) months, you will have access to our comprehensive group insurance plan provided by Sunlife. This includes life, accidental death and dismemberment, health, travel, drug, dental, paramedical, hospital, medical, long-term disability and medical appliance coverage.
• Safety shoes will be provided on entry and work clothes after three (3) months (if desired).
• Overtime is calculated at one and a half times your salary per hour, per full 40-hour work week.
• Once your probation period is over, we'll reimburse you $100 for the purchase of tool supplies, prescription safety glasses or individual molded hearing protectors. This amount is granted once per calendar year.
• Depending on the outcome of your performance review, you may be entitled to an annual increase in mid-January of each year.
• You are entitled to three (3) sick/personal days pro-rated per year, and if you do not use them, they will be paid to you at the end of the year.
• We offer a stable schedule with permanent day or evening positions.
• You are entitled to two (2) paid rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes per day.
• When the company closes for one week a year, between Christmas and New Year's Day, you get four (4) paid days during this period. We therefore offer ten (10) statutory holidays instead of eight (8), during each calendar year, in accordance with labour standards.

• Troubleshoot customer equipment in operation
• Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) of various brands (B&R, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.) and HMIs (Human to Machine Interface) according to specifications, estimates and standards.
• Participate in the development of vision-based applications; Assist engineers with special projects
• Work in collaboration with the electrical assembly department
• Design and standardize automated systems (control, instrumentation, motor control, etc.).
• Participate in equipment commissioning at the plant and at our customers' sites
• Troubleshoot automated systems during commissioning
• Keeping standards up to date
• Perform all other related tasks relevant to the position

• 1 to 3 years' experience in a machine programming position
• Knowledge of pneumatics and power electricity (an asset)
• PLC programming experience (Omron, Allen Bradley or others)
• Bilingualism (French and English) (asset)
• Problem-solving oriented to the satisfaction of all stakeholders
• Autonomy and ability to organize work to meet objectives
