Responsibilities

The Truck Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of trucks. The ideal candidate works on various systems to ensure the reliability, safety, and proper operation of the vehicles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on trucks;
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic
    ;
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines;
  • Work on the braking, suspension, and steering systems;
  • Perform repair work on transmissions and drive systems
    ;
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems;
  • Conduct the necessary inspections and checks to identify any anomalies;
  • Replace, repair, and adjust defective parts and components;
  • Use various diagnostic tools and equipment;
  • Perform tests and inspections after repairs;
  • Complete maintenance and repair reports;
  • Keep tools and the workspace clean and safe;
  • Follow work procedures and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in truck mechanics;
  • Good knowledge of diesel engines;
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneu
    ;
  • Ability to diagnose and effectively resolve technical
    issues;
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical documents;
  • Independence, thoroughness, and a commitment to doing the job right;
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team;
  • A sense of responsibility and adherence to safety standards;
  • A valid driver's license, as required by the position;

Training

  • A diploma in truck mechanics, heavy-duty vehicle mechanics, or equivalent training
