Senior Mechanical Designer

As a passionate mechanic, the incumbent must design, optimize, test, modify and draw equipment, sections, sub-assemblies and parts, using Inventor drawing software, while following the product development process in place (Innovation Model). In addition, he/she will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment is safe for users and that it complies with health standards.

• Carry out the mechanical design of new equipment, sections, parts and machine sub-assemblies for the food industry in collaboration with the research and development team (project manager, programmers, electrical engineer, etc.)
• Determine the interfaces with other departments (automation, vision).
• Effecteur integrates all subsystems of automated equipment and robotic cells for the food industry.
• Validate the interfaces of the different subsystems.
• Select mechanical components (bearing, seal, gearbox, motor, pneumatic cylinder).
• Ensure that the machine performs all of its intended functions.
• Drawing of parts and assemblies.
• Perform internal tests and validate the operation of the designed equipment.
• Conduct tests at customer sites and validate the operation of the designed equipment.
• Validate the conformity of the machines before transferring them to production.
• Determine with the help of the production team the order of assembly of the equipment.
• Solve project and environmental problems by proposing innovative solutions.
• Participate in risk analyses and validate that measures have been implemented.
• Participate in sanitation analyses and validate that measures have been implemented.
• Actively participate in various meetings and forward relevant information to team members.
• Actively participate in the brainstorming meetings of the various projects in progress.
• Actively participate in the design review of equipment.
• Document the development process.
