Project manager in automation

He will have external and internal customers, as the company is composed of 4 divisions with different specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the automation and control activities of assigned projects;
  • Integrate control systems including process automation, operator interfaces, computer networks and other communication systems;
  • Manage projects under his/her responsibility (schedules, budgets, deliverables);
  • Produce required project documents in accordance with contractual requirements;
  • Analyze specifications and recommend equipment;
  • Carry out site commissioning, customer support and after-sales service of developed solutions while maintaining good customer relations;Write technical manuals and provide training to the customer;
  • Ensures the update of the plans and the transmission to the customer;
  • Acts as a resource for technical questions from electricians and mechanics during project start-up;
  • Manages costs and optimizes profitability of projects by being resourceful;
  • Carries out the administrative and technical follow-up of the projects in terms of schedule, cost and quality by collaborating with the various stakeholders;
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers to obtain maximum profitability on the project;
  • Be able to estimate extras for clients;
  • Suggest suitable or equivalent products;
  • Plan manpower and materials;
  • Manage subcontractors and labor on your projects;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety rules by employees working on your projects.
