Electrical project manager
As a passionate mechanic, the incumbent must design, optimize, test, modify and draw equipment, sections, sub-assemblies and parts, using Inventor drawing software, while following the product development process in place (Innovation Model). In addition, he/she will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment is safe for users and that it complies with health standards.

Responsibilities
- After receiving the order, proceed with the planning of the different tasks and stages of the project.
- Responsible for the collection and organization of all automation/electrical information in order to achieve the specifications (SOW).
- Organize / participate in internal meetings and discussions related to project planning.
- Follow-up and update projects on a weekly basis, ensuring that specifications, functional analyses, schedules and test specifications are completed and in accordance with internal procedures (Project Process).
- Participate with the supervisor in the planning of resources required for the realization of projects under his responsibility as well as weekly coordination and resource planning meetings.
- Maintain excellent communication with supervisor throughout project completion (deadlines, technical change, SOW).
- Maintain a high level of collaboration with the Client Project Manager and remain the primary point of contact (resource) for the coordination of electrical elements of projects.
- Ensure that automation/electrical changes to initial specifications (change order) are approved by the customer (cost and solution), prior to electrical design.
- Participate in the resolution of problems related to its projects by proposing innovative solutions.
- Plan at the automation / electrical level the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), the SAT (Site Acceptance Test), the external inspections (CSA-UL) and coordinate the actions that may result from them if necessary.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of the installation and start-up of automation/electrical components, ensuring that all participants are trained and informed of factory and field safety standards.
- At the end of the project, report on the various opportunities to be considered for future projects, with a view to continuous improvement.
- Ensure daily progress reports and site policies are followed.
Qualifications
- Mastering industrial automation and electrical technologies.
- Good knowledge of safety standards in the field of automation and electricity on site.
- Master MS-Project.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of equipment and product (an asset).
- Knowledge of Autocad electrical (an asset).
- Intermediate English (oral and written).
Training
- Degree in electrical, mechanical or automated production engineering or combined degree with several years of relevant experience.
- Experience in project management.
- PMP training (an asset).
