Automatician SAV

Our client is a robotics and vision company. The team is composed of experienced professionals who have been developing and improving automation solutions for manufacturing companies for over 25 years.

Under the supervision of the Service Coordinator, the Service Programmer acts as the first responder to service calls and makes emergency or planned trips to customer sites to resolve technical issues or deploy improvements to company supported systems. The Service Programmer is also expected to assist in the programming, simulation, integration and operation of robots/PLC/IHM in a robotic cell.

Responsibilities

  • Taking service calls on the front lines;
  • Helping customers solve problems with their system;
  • Travel outside the country to clients' homes if necessary;
  • Participate in project start-ups and provide assistance to clients;
  • To carry out the programming of robots and/or automats in an automated cell.

Working Conditions:

  • Carry out the programming of the PLC, the programming of the robot, the configuration of the communication modules and the integration in an automated cell;
  • Participate in project start-up;
  • Be responsible for support contracts (first responder of the 24/7 service phone) for customers who have subscribed to a plan;
  • Be able to travel to customers with or without notice:Service calls: up to 10 weeks per year;
  • Warranty support: up to 10 weeks per year;
  • System start-up: up to 10 weeks per year

Qualifications

Good knowledge and experience in one or more of the following specialties:

  • PLC (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, Siemens);
  • Robot (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, Kuka);
  • Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profibus) ;
  • Person-to-machine & SCADA interface (Factory Talk View, Wonderware) ;
  • Reading electrical plans;
  • Troubleshooting of automated systems.

  • Good analytical and team spirit;
  • Good communication and organizational skills developed;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Be available to perform installation and start-up work outside the metropolitan area and outside the province and country;
  • Hold a valid driver's license;
  • Have a valid passport.

Asset:

  • Relevant industry experience related to robotics;
  • Knowledge in industrial computer science (C#, VB, SQL).

Training

  • Degree in automation, robotics or electrical engineering, degree in electrical engineering, or automated production management, or robotics engineering, or related discipline;
  • Experience in the field of automation and machine manufacturing.
